This week, Tecumseh Town Council begins at 6pm.
We begin with a Public Meeting regarding the 8th Concession Road Sanitary Sewer. Right now these properties are generally on septic systems. It is desirable from an environmental and land development standpoint that sanitary sewer service be extended to these properties. They are generally industrial in nature or are expected to be. Only benefitting properties are intended to contribute to the cost of this sewer. Costs are intended to be assessed to most properties based on their acreage. Residential properties will be per lot. Administration is recommending that a public meeting be hosted to solicit comments from benefitting property owners and that a further report be tabled. The full packet can be found here.
At 7pm, regular business begins.
In our communications, Council will receive from Essex County their resolution regarding the Essex County Library Reserve Funds Administration. Tecumseh's share of the surplus from the Library Strike is $119,839. Essex County will release the funds to the town on approval by the Essex County Library Board for how it intends to be spent.
We only have one report this week. The Chief Administrative Officer is recommending that Council consider a Town Hall Expansion at an estimated cost of $2.81M to be funded through reserves. In addition, the Building Lifecycle annual allocation would be increased by $50,000 effective for the 2019 budget year.
The full packet can be found here.
